Honorable Members
Sheldon Reed, a long time membership in OBAD, passed away on October 10th, 2013. Sheldon Reed is avid outdoor. He love fishing and hunting. He always amazed to many of OBAD members because he always bring simple tackle box and a pair or two of reel and rod set. He often brought many good sizes of bass with whatever he got in his simple tackle box. He must have doing something special methods. He made OBAD become more competitive and challenges. He will be alays in OBAD members' mind. We all miss you, Sheldon Reed. |
OBAD Founder, David Woodward moved to Ohio from New York in the spring of 1995 and joined fishing club here in Columbus, Ohio, called Columbus Deaf Anglers Club. Later on, he heard about National Bass Association of the Deaf, he became curious about the NBAD. In 1996, he went to NBAD tournament at Lake Truman in Missouri and found this so enjoyable. He became a representative for CDAC at NBAD. On February, 2003, we had our first meeting. Ohio Bass Anglers of the Deaf born and held the first tournament on April 2003. David Woodward ran as OBAD President from 2003 to 2013. He hosted 10 years anniversary banquet. He was surprised and recevied a life-time membership award.
